Review: Juliet Takes a Breath
I was browsing through the online library's small and sad Latino Lit section, and ran across this gem. A queer Latina protagonist who loves books and leftist politics? YES! I am so jealous of today's youth, who get to grow up with books that accurately reflect their lived experiences. Gabby Rivera's novel is smart, funny, and an overall amazing ride! It's got internal conflict, family conflict, drama with white feminists - basically everything that happens in real life. I LOVED it and recommend it to all of you!
