World Tour 2018: WHAT IF IT'S US, Germany

I stayed up till 6am so that I could finish WHAT IF IT'S US, by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera, in one sitting. This is a super cute book that tells the story of two boys that seem to meeting, missing, and wanting. It is told in alternating perspectives - Ben is the taller, cooler, more experienced New Yorker, and Arthur is the academically driven yet romantically inexperienced one interning in New York for the summer. What's going to happen with them? Read, and find out!

If you're a fan of the authors' previous works, you will love this book. It's lighthearted and funny for the most part, and then it takes some more serious turns. I love these authors because they manage to infuse conversations about race, class, and sexuality into their work, providing some of their privileged readers with a glimpse into life of marginalized groups of people.

I leave you with a picture of a potential wedding site - an old German mill. I'll be scouting some other locations today - wish me luck!
